CASPER

Diana, Casper is doing great! We absolutely love him. He has just made himself right at home. We are getting into a good routine with the crate at night. He doesn’t like to go in it, but he knows he has to. Duwayne is so taken with him that he cannot even deny him access to the bed. It is so funny to watch those two. We are also doing well with the harness and walking. He has figured out that the microwave is a good thing since I warm up the portion of his rice mixture to be added with the dry food. I cannot thank you and Chris enough for working with me to get Casper here so I could spend time with him before going back to work. CASH

Cash and Tanq’s happy tails. A year ago when Cash came to live with us, we immediately fell in love with him. He fit right into our family and was deeply connected to Steve and I souls from the very start. In every glance at us you can see how grateful he is for his home. He is protective of us, our home and his fur siblings, whether a permanent or a foster. He is constantly watching and keeping guard over everyone. If he had his wish Steve and I would quit our jobs and spend all day every day walking and snuggling him. He HATES it when we leave, so much that from time to time he chews stuff up, but he LOVES going to grandma and grandpas when we go out of town. When Tanq came to us as a foster last November he was not as affectionate as we were used to with Cash, but that didn’t last long. As soon as he bonded to us, we knew we couldn’t be the first humans he loved and NOT keep him. Tanq has a DANGEROUS tail; he must use all the muscles in his body to wag that thing. So far it’s only broken one major item in the house. Tanq LOVES to swim and steal attention from the other animals. He loves his Grandpa and loves when Grandma spoils them both by warming their food, rubbing their bellies and sprinkling cheerios on the ground for them to eat. He is still learning his manors, his commands and it’s still sinking in that he weighs more than a lap dog. These dogs were meant for us, long before they were here and even long before we were here. They are like our children and are loved by all of our friends and all of our family. Thank you for Cash and Tanq, they are the best thing that’s happened to us since we met each other :) Cara & Steve

COLORADO

Trooper aka Colorado is fantastic! We got his rabies and a vet checkup...everything looks good! He lost all his teeth and most have come in, but he wasn't a huge chewer. We went camping for the first time last weekend and he did awesome...loves the water! We are out of the apartment and he has a huge backyard to play in and loves it...not real into fetching tho, prefers tug-a-war!Thanks for checking on us! Hope all is well with 2nd Chance and there are lots of good adoptions going on! Thanks for all you do for these little animals...Trooper is my absolute best friend! Suzi

Cougar

Hello! He's doing great! To give you all the updates, we went with a name change from Cougar to Cody. He's getting bigger and bigger every day. I attached some pictures. Enjoy! By the way, I didn't want to take the picture with the sunglasses but he insisted :)
